Terminators are still my all-time favorite, upscale is amazing (lemmy.ca)

Grabbed this picture last week right before the boys started taking turn 1 casualties. If a novitiate ever survives until turn 3 I’m promoting him to Marshal right there.

Two Kastelan Robots, very different painting method. Is the Dull-coloured one too boring or is the Bright one too bright?
But what’s that he’s holding?...
I had a lot of fun experimenting with weathering on this guy.
I picked up these old boys in a couple of ebay lots, one was missing a set of spikes so I decided to practice my sculpting skills. One thing led to another and I decided to see if I could make them a bit more dynamic than the original sculpts. What do you guys think?...
Tried something a bit different with these guys. Started with a black printer, with a Grey Seer zenithal over top, and then a pure white dry brush....
I just finished this guy up. He’s mostly wearing contrast paints. His cloak is Baal Red Contrast followed by a wash of 1:1 Blood Angels Contrast and Contrast medium. I can’t wait to get him on the table!
Painted up my Flyrant for the new edition! He’s kinda flat though because I can’t seem to figure out how to shade the white carapace without it looking horribly dirty. So I was thinking of giving him a glossy varnish to make him look shiny like some real life insects to compensate.
While working on Magnus the Red, I realised he’s sneering at something and thought a loyalist psyker would be a suitable focus for his contempt.
Forgeworld Chaplain Dreadnought, great find at a garage sale- former owner has piles of old 2-7th edition 40k. Maybe real and maybe a fake (it came in a Forgeworld ziplock bag)...
Had an idea when painting the little squig on a Beastboss. Do you get the reference?
There are many like him, but this one is mine.
I finally finished my Wolf Guard Battle Leader on Bike! I still need a name for him though… Some more angles:...
Von Ryan’s Leapers and Barbgaunts. I’m not as pleased with the yellow-on-purple guns this time as I was with that scheme on the Termagants. May need to revisit that later....
