You check the trichones under magnification, the buds will vary based on “age” but there is some “science” to how the trichones look vs how the plant will make you feel.
Then harvest based on your preference there.
it’s possible the art of growing has moved significantly since my last foray but that’s what we did when I did, used a jewelers loupe to peep them.
