Those deformed leaves look like it could be overwatered to me. Seedlings don’t need much. At any rate I’m glad it’s recovering, I’m sure it’ll make some damn fine bud
I would like to, but sadly my current setup does not allow me to use vegetative and flowering light schedules in parallel.Though, there are relatively cheap plant propagation kits with built-in light and heat sources, might get one of those anyway in future.
I repotted it earlier and as far as I can tell, roots have grown to a reasonable size and had a healthy, white color.
Dealers don’t clean their scales. That’s why it shows up in other drugs that are or were powders. That’s it. Fentanyl and carfentanyl are just that lethal. Those benzos and other pills begin as powder before being pressed. Also, pretty much all black market oxys or Percocets are pressed fent these days from what I’ve heard. Unfortunately, it takes very little fentanyl to cause an overdose, especially in those who don’t have any previous history with opioids (i.e. kids taking mdma at a music festival not expecting to stop breathing) . Cannabis laced with fentanyl is nonsense.
I think fentanyl shows up in cocaine and in mdma and other drugs sold in pill form like opiods or benzos. I assume they extrapolated to weed. My speculation would be that the idea was that drug dealers would lace cannabis that is non-addictive with fentanyl to create more ‘loyal’ customers.

I guess, but that seems unnecessary. You can easily get loyal customers by selling decent weed at a decent price. Or even shitty weed at a shitty price if you’re in a place where it’s hard to come by.
Where I live cannabis is routinely tempered with. Almost all cannabis you can buy on the black market is just industrial hemp from the Balkans that has been sprayed with synthetic cannabinoids. All the actually good/smokeable stuff comes from Spain where cannabis is being tolerated.
That’s really not how it works in the U.S., where this misinformation is being spread. Especially not these days when you can just drive to a state where it’s legal and buy lots of weed and then just go back to the state where it isn’t legal and sell it for a premium.
And to make it stupider, it’s already legal in New York.
Maybe it’s cases of cross contamination? If a miniscule ammount of fentanyl somehow contaminates cannabis weighed with the same equipment that might backfire badly.
You wouldn't really use the same scale to weigh Fentanyl and weed. Fentanyl is dosed in micro grams. $10k of fentanyl requires a much more precise scale than $10k of weed. Typically such a precise scale cannot handle the weight of $10k of weed.
You'd have to have a dealer who sells very large amounts of Fentanyl and very small amounts of weed.
It shows up because dealers don’t clean their scales. Those benzos and other pills begin as powder before being pressed. Edit: I’m going to copy this and post it as a root level comment so others can see.
Very grateful to see some no till here on Lemmy. The cover crop is always nice to leave, I think. It gives the grow space a certain je ne sais quoi to the grow space. Except for the hairy vetch.
I respect the hydro guys and the nute salt guys, don’t get me wrong, they have some fine looking plants! But growing pot is really spiritual for me, and that means I want to get as close to the way nature intended as possible. I wish I could go outside but I don’t have the location for it 🙄
Well said, friend. To each their own, the gate is open come on in and let’s all grow weed how we want. I hope you can one day get some space outside and get a little closer to nature. ❤️
I wish I could go outside but I don’t have the location for it 🙄
While I appreciate this, let me tell you about the time I brought hot pepper plants into the tent for the winter and ruined my crop because the bugs took over. Didn’t catch it in time. There are some advantages to growing in isolation.
You got it dude! They’re Black Widows from ILGM, I absolutely love this strain. I’m using Nebula’s Manifold technique on them because I think the shape is aesthetic as fuck.
In my opinion living soil is the way to go. I tried bottled nutes when I was first getting started, and I never had good luck. Now I use all organic nutrients and composts to feed the soil and I just give them regular ol’ uncorrected rainwater to drink. It’s amazing, very low maintenance and low cost, especially with the amount of organic vegetable scraps my household generates 😂
The light is an LED by RDJ Bouns, it’s the 400W model. They make a 720 and a 1000 watt model too and the prices are SUPER reasonable. Plus they sent me this sick sticker of a light bulb filled with marijuana leaves so they made a customer for life.
Tell is more about how you’re feeding them. Do you have a compost at home? I’ve never heard about this technique and I ’d love to stop using that bottled crap and go 100% natural.
I compost all my kitchen scraps and lawn waste. So those scraps go into my compost bin, and when it’s full I dump it in a designated space in my yard and cover it with straw until it finishes. When it finishes, I just dig it out and top dress it into my 50 gallon. I do use other organic amendments like kelp and bone meals, but it’s predominantly compost. Composting is literally so easy, you can do as little as throwing your scraps directly into your pot even, it’s called the “Just Throw It On The Ground” technique.
And here’s a really informative episode of Shaping Fire, where host Shango Los talks about composting with soil scientist Leighton Morrison: m.youtube.com/watch?v=1Rkg-yl-a3I
I’ve learned a lot about organic weed farming from Shaping Fire and recommend it to every grower I know.
Your plants look great! I’m really excited to see the flowers 🤩 I know this community has been pretty skeptical of the cucumber, but I was hoping it would work out. Bummer that it didn’t.
I smoke for medical reasons currently. Shit almost 15 years ago, I was looking up alternative treatments for Tourette Syndrome as my pills were not only becoming less and less effective, the dreaded super rare side effect came out. There was always a chance that while taking these pills, there’d be a chance I’d develop a brand new tic and if I do, I’d have it for life. Sure as shit, it happened after taking the medication for almost 5 years.
I was in college at the time and was heading back home for Christmas break. Decided to hit up an old buddy and he was able to hook me up. Looking back on it now, was ripped off hella but what can you do. He didn’t want to partake so I ended up meeting up with another friend that I knew smoked for sure. We rolled a J and smoked it before going to see Avatar in theaters. I tried to be all cool and not cough at all and I succeeded… Because I wasn’t inhaling 🙃 chalked it up to a failure and watched the movie sober, squeaking like a mother fucker.
When I got back after break, I found out a classmate smoked the devil’s lettuce. He actually set me up with a bowl and provided the weed for free. What a homie. He tought me how to inhale properly and I coughed so much.
IT WAS LIFE CHANGING!
I went from having vocal and motor tics on average of a tic a minute, often many in succession, to maybe a tic every couple of hours. One of my tics had such a mental priority over everything else that it was sometimes hard to breath because of how often it happened.
It’s so great to be seen as “normal” now. Being able to hang out with friends in public or see a movie, and not have everyone looking at you and talking under their breath is fantastic.
Now days I’m just the stoner of the group. Grow my own weed and only ever purchase it if I want a specific strain or some live rosin buckets.
