How can I go about or who should I contact about talking over a squatted community?
I would like to start a community on lemmy.world but the name is taken and the community is not being used. I’ve tried to contact the mod but they have been offline for several days based on their post history.
Reaching out to the admins is going to be the best course of action. If the community has no activity or no recent activity and the mods are unresponsive there is a good chance they will work with you.
I’m new to this so I could very well be wrong but contacting the instance admin (Lemmy.world) could be able to help more than the community mod. Otherwise, maybe come up with a slightly different community name to create your own would be a faster option
