Star Trek Resurgence Giveaway

Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing fine and are well prepared for the winter holidays!

We at Dramatic Labs want to sweeten the festive season a little and are therefore giving away a total of 10 copies of Star Trek Resurgence on a platform of your choice (PS4, PS5, Xbox or PC).

Star Trek: Resurgence is a narrative-driven adventure game created by former members of Telltale Games that delivers all the excitement and wonder of the Star Trek universe. Join the crew of the U.S.S. Resolute as first officer Jara Rydek and enlisted engineer Carter Diaz on a mission to prevent an eons-old and powerful force from engulfing everything in its wake!

To take part, you have to comment on which Star Trek games you grew up with and which one was your favourite. The 10 winners will be randomly selected and contacted by me. The giveaway will run until 21st December 23:59 CET.

Buck,

Star Trek 25th for me, still love it

chronicledmonocle,

I grew up with Star Trek Elite Force 1 and 2, Starfleet Command: Orion Pirates, Armada 1 and 2, and Bridge Commander. All excellent games that I played many, many hours of.

I spent the early 2000s playing Star Trek: Armada and Voyager: Elite Force. Pretty sure you can get them on GoG if you’re looking for nostalgia and a good night of gaming.

I grew up playing the 25th anniversary game on pc. The point and click adventure one. Loved all the ways you could kill redshirts

Star Trek: The Next Generation on the Sega Genesis was my favorite.

Didn’t get a chance to really play any others when I was growing up.

icerunner_origin,

Not strictly canon, but I have fond memories of Apple Trek on the Apple II. Growing up I played Star Trek 25th Anniversary and Klingon Honor Guard. More recently I got the PS3 game based on the Kelvin timeline movies. But my favourite to date has been Star Trek Bridge Crew, I’ve really enjoyed the immersion of it.

The fuck? This game has been out since April but because it’s an epic exclusive I never saw it.

And now I’m pirating it, thanks for the free copy of the game. Would’ve bought it if it was on Steam and not tied to an anti-consumer practice like Epics exclusivity deals.

RogueGallifreyan,

First game was Star Trek 25th anniversary. First game ever to make me feel like a real part of a new adventure!

KingJalopy,

I always loved the 92’ version of Star trek the board game! Lots of good times, plus I just another box unopened from a garage sale! Want to break into it but I probably won’t do this would be cool on PC!

Hyperreality,

Favourites Star Trek: Birth of the Federation (Master of Orion, but it's Star Trek) and Klingon Honour Guard.

I used to play a lot of Star Trek Online, but honestly that really felt like a job once you reached the end game, a joyless experience that made me feel like I was wasting my life.

There was that old Voyager fps, Elite Force, that kicked ass.

I put a stupid amount of hours into Starfleet Command. Probably my all time favorite. I’m the kind of person who geeks out on power and shield management.

I played a lot of Sins of a Solar Empire and I mention that because there was a cool Star Trek mod for that game I played for a bit.

Lastly, I played STO for a couple years. Loved the story and space combat but man the ground missions a slog. Still I enjoyed that game a bunch.

I feel like I’m missing something but I can’t think of any more.

The Star Trek mod for Sins got more play on my PC than Sins itself did. It is fantastic!

Jaccident,

I was a big fan of the Elite Force games, but the one I enjoyed most was a DVD game from the mid to late 90s that doesn’t seem to exist. It was similar to the activision Zork games of the era, but Gowron was making Gowron eyes at the screen a lot; I’m considering that I’ve merged two games I played together, and made a false memory, but honestly I don’t know what games those would’ve been either.

pleb_maximus,

Although not text based, there was a FMV game called Star Trek: Klingon (YouTube link to a longplay) where Gowron does a bunch of Gowron things.

Jaccident,

See I’m sure that’s some of what I’m remembering, but at least when I played Klingon about 2007 it didn’t seem to be the same game.

(Btw, the Acti Zork games are acted DVD graphical adventures, unlike their text based precursors. Worth a go if you can. )

A little past growing up but I played a lot of the Snes and Nes games. They had issues but once you figured out the gameplay loop they could be very fun!

fox2263,

Starfleet Command 2 Klingon Academy Armada 1 & 2 Hidden Evil Elite Force 1 & 2 Final Unity Bridge Commander

I played them all to death! Such a good time.

I was an adult when I got/played it, but Star Trek: Bridge Crew was a blast to play on my Vive.
