In lieu of domains being discontinued by Google I’m thinking about moving every service I’ve used there to a Debian VM, which would be hosted by a company in my country, but I would have root access....

So I’m loving the switch as lemmy’s growing larger, I’ve always used my freshrss reader to view topics. Now with reddit there’s an extension for freshrss RedditImage that displays reddit images and photos without the need to click the link....

I have 49 gb of music and at the moment i just sync it between my devices with syncthing. But i think it will be better if i stream it, as the storage on my phone is limited....

I remember reading a post about someone setting up Jellyfin and some other software and essentially just waiting around a few days after shows come out and they end up being available in their media library. Like, some kind of pirating software that just grabs the right media. Is this a thing or am I misremembering?
