What Game Boy game do you love that you never hear anyone talk about?
The more rare, obscure, or just a guilty pleasure, the better. Maybe you grew up with it, maybe it’s just the nostalgia talking, any reason is fine....

Just a random (almost 35 years too late) question because I’ve been replaying SMB2 on the Switch....
Even though we got a computer in the mid to late 90’s, a shitty DOS-box that no-one kind of really knew how to do anything with, I was infinitely interested in anything to do with it. I remember playing Guerrilla Wars and some dungeon crawlers on it and such, but I feel like I almost entirely missed out on text-based games. I...
So, there are projects like these;...
Please drop some links for the soldering irons y’all use, mine is apparently lost in my parent’s attic, and thinking of, probably too large for console modding....
I should love this game… I’ve been trying for years to get in to it, keep thinking it will get better just round the corner but… It’s so damn tedious!...
Hardly retro hardware but now with the new version coming out it’s definitely obsolete. Even so I’m still lovin my rp2+. Even my RP3+ hasn’t been able to replace it....
Were there any card games like Magic: The Gathering for retro systems? I expect not, because the digital card game genre didn’t really “click” until later. But I thought I’d ask.
Im looking for a flashcard for my '89 Gameboy and stumbled upon the Everdrive-GB cartridges. The x3 is about 20 bucks cheaper than the x5. What am I missing out on if I get the cheaper one? Only thing I wanna do is to play a few homebrew gameboy games.
Why were there so few and what were they anyway?
So this is a thought I had the other day. Do you think for longevity / preservation it is best to leave consoles connected to power or leave them unplugged, ignoring something like a power surge?
Costco is carrying the console for $79. It’s tempting to get it. https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/02a70a76-670c-4318-9991-74ff1415c5e9.jpeg
I have an RG353V currently running ArkOS. Works great, plugged it into my TV and looks great there too. Tried both a USB Xbox controller and PS3 controller and neither seem to be recognized (both of which I know Linux kernel models exist to support). Wanted to pick up a couple of SNES style controllers (kids mostly play Nintendo...
Hey there,...
Can I fix this somehow?
Hello everyone,...
At some point, I don’t know when, Mupen64 Pro FZ stopped launching games on my Retroid Pocket 3+. I have the paid version from the play store, and my N64 games are stored as zip files. I haven’t messed with any settings (I think) and it used to work fine, so I’m a bit baffled....
Hi. I’m playing emulated Driver using pcsxr on Linux. Sometimes, when I’m being chased by three or more police cars for example, I’m observing a drop rate (from ~59 fps to ~45 fps). I first thought my computer (which is an old i3 540!), but I soon changed my mind because of two reasons:...
I just picked up Gauntlet for nes and when I load into room 1 I’m greeted with glitched walls misplaced everywhere which let’s me walk through some. and there’s random items I can’t pick up which means I’m unable to continue in the game past room 1
Could you suggest controllers that have similar form-factor to NES, but work with modern computers?...
is there a way to transfer a Paper Mario 64 Save file to the Wii version? Thanks!
Dominion of Darkness is a strategy/RPG text game in which the player takes on the role of a Sauron-style Lord of Darkness with the goal of conquering the world. He will carry out his plans by making various decisions. He will build his army and send it into battles, weave intrigues and deceptions, create secret spy networks and...
I had the Miyoo Mini V2 for some time now and was pretty happy with the little thing. I now also got the Plus, since the V2 felt a bit too small and multiplayer options seem really fun via netplay....
After a bit of searching and help, I found out how to use my 8BitDo Ultimate Pro Bluetooth/2.4Ghz controller in 2.4GHz mode in the Switch mode, including with full gyro support. Note: there are two firmware versions, one for the controller and one for the receiver. This is only possible with a specific version of the receiver...
Looking for some advice here, I’m out to complete two things:...
