sadly, it's not just the maga idiots either. my own sister spent months recovering from nerve damage from long covid because "she'd been vaccinated and covid isnt' that bad and she was tired of missing all the dance festivals". my mother is immuno-deficient. my sister went to a family spreader event unmasked, then visited my mother without testing or isolating.
i still have friends who think i'm nuts for still masking, avoiding crowds, etc. friends i'm unlikely to see any time soon, based on that.
