Something similar happened to mstdn.social a while back, I saw someone on reddit who found their AV blocking the instance.

I'm wondering if a tool should be made to allow fedi admins to check their instance against various AV/spam lists and quickly issue appeals.

@r000t @jerry not saying it has anything to do with this, but a week or two ago I found infosec.exchange toots listed in a block list. One of the toots shared information on a malware signature.
There are dumb false positives out there

@sluggard @r000t I strongly suspect that’s what it was. And I don’t know what to say about companies that have security services that are so brittle that they can’t differentiate security people sharing Intel from a site serving up malware.

@jerry @lukeswitzer Did they ever give you a straight up answer as to why they blocked you in the first place? I am glad they unblocked, but if all the response you received is what you posted, the reason(ing) is still opaque.
