The Martian. Watney survives a wind storm after his crewmates make an emergency escape, thinking he was dead. He wakes up, had to perform surgery on himself... Once he finishes he lays back realizing the fact that he is now stuck on Mars alone and says "fuck." Always loved how Matt Damon acted in that scene
I find it amusing that language is classified based upon frequency of use. If your average thirteen year old hears fuck once, maybe they’ll be okay - but how profane for them to hear it twice or even three times in a two hour timespan.
This is very much a failing of mine, but I don’t have time for old films (although, compared to modern stuff, this film comes in at a trim 90 minutes). The movement of the camera is too ponderous and the sound of the voices too grating for me to enjoy. If asked what my favourite film was, it’d be really cool to say something from the 40s/50s/60s, but the truthful answer is probably RoboCop.
Uhhh, is this real, cause if so, Ridley is not going to get any hardcore history buffs with this movie. They already have Waterloo, a movie that will literally take a whole army to top.
Last Action Hero (1993). It’s not a masterpiece, but it’s way better than its reception warranted. I think most people who don’t like it, just didn’t really get it.
The critics never really understood it at the time, and the movie suffered from poor press. Definitely a cult classic. Also love that Arnie got Sly to do a Terminator poster for the video store, and all the references to other movies hidden all over the place. It’s an Easter egg extravaganza!
