Federation question (it doesn't work well)
Hello!...
Hello!...
This is a weird one....
Hi everyone. I was doing some maintenance on my server and accidentally nuked my pictrs folder (the one thing I didn’t backup…)....
Apologies as I’m still learning the new platform and am unclear on specific terminology....
Has anyone else tried finding a lemmy.world community on lemmyverse.net? I don’t see any results for known communities that exist. I’m not sure if that is intentional or overlooked or what. The last I checked, that search was still being used to find communities that maybe haven’t been connected yet to a user’s home...
This post was apparently posted at 11:08 GMT+2, which is almost two hours in the future from now....
ETA for fuck’s sake, even this post had to be censored down to go through. It took about 15 attempts....
Just need confirmation, does lemmy.my.id down?
Just wanted to reach out to mention I think the linked page may be missing an opening ( in the image example: ![Lemmy from Motörhead]https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/84/Lemmy-02.jpg)...
I suppose the community was unfortunately eliminated because of the politics of the instance where it is hosted, but I am not sure, if I directly go to the community there is nothing, it does not seem to exist anymore. And maybe it’s related to one of the post of a mod no long ago, which was asking someone to join as a mod...
I’m trying to figure out how to pull posts that I have saved into my RSS reader. I grabbed the RSS link from the saved posts page of my profile and added it to my RSS reader but nothing comes across except for my actual posts. I can’t seem to figure it out and feel I’m missing something completely obvious as it can’t be...
I think this means that something is wrong with lemmy-ui, but I’m not sure what....
I made a post on asklemmy @ lemmy.ml and it was deleted by mods apparently due to “super toxic comments” that users made. I didn’t get a chance to view all the comments and still would like to. However, using this backlog: lemmy.ml/modlog?page=1&userId=2461030 , lemmy.ml/post/3809854 It says that the post couldn’t be...
Is there any easy way to switch to your home instance directly from a post to allow you to comment? I currently use “instance assistant for lemmy” but that only allows me to view the community from my own instance....
The modlog page can break if anyone has been banned with an expiry too far into the future, I grabbed this query to fix it from the github issue a while back and refined it a little if it’s useful to anyone:...
Is there a a function in the web UI for it that I’m not seeing, or would you have to message the instance admins about it?
I am a member of one of its communities
I’m an admin in our own instance (mujico.org), I have seen some posts that need the NSFW tag but I can’t find a way to put that tag, There are some posts that are not NSFW and I would like to remove that, that’s it.
I’ve been using the Subscribed feed as my default view for a while. I understand that this is exclusively content from communities I’ve subscribed to, but it also seems to be be some subset of that content. If I go into an individual subscribed community, I almost always see a bunch of posts that I don’t see on the...
And in a similar vein, does the “Hot” sort type still cause issues as noted in some older posts?...
Hello,...
I guess every post I’ve ever made is on a different instance than my home instance, and I’m unable to find them under my profile. How do you find posts you have made?
I am trying to install lemmy via Docker on Debian. I’ve configured Postgres and my config files but I’m getting an error when I try to docker compose up -d....
I was getting close to hitting the end of my free object storage so there was time pressure involved haha....
