I love the convenience of not having to create a password everywhere I need to be authenticated. It would be interesting to be able to use lemmy instead of feeding more information to these big corporations.

Back in the ole Reddit days of ereyestermonth I had a habit of closing my reddit app of choice on my phone, and then as a reflex immediately open that same app back up....

With debate raging in the Fedi about Threads’ federation, I was having a discussion with another user about the recently implemented instance blocks. They pointed out that, blocking an instance simply hides their content from your feed but doesn’t prevent your posts from being sent to them. Firstly, is this correct? Is this...
I hope that this post doesn’t come across as impatient, or demanding – I fully understand that Lemmy is donation funded, and is created out of the benevolence of the devs. I am merely curious if any announcement has been made in regards to a specific ETA. So I’m developing a mobile client using React Native, where I’m utilizing Lemmy’s messaging functionality as well. This makes it extremely crucial to have notification support (including push notifications)....
For those who are unfamiliar, the default sorting algorithm on most clients is “Hot” - It’s intended to be closer to “New” than “Top” so people who come to a thread late can have their opinion read....
