Black bar added after viewing image
Is anyone else having an issue where if you click on an image to view it and then click back there will be a black bar added above the bottom home bar? This is pushing up the + button as well.

I’m a huge fan of the Jerboa app, and it’s the closest experience I’ve gotten to RiF from any of the Lemmy apps. It’s been a pleasure to use despite the occasional hiccups, but one thing that I thought I could personally contribute to was the icon for the app itself. I thought I’d share them with the community, in case...
I can press on main post pics and take a closer look, but comment pictures not only don’t zoom in, but if there’s a way to open them in a browser for a closer look, I can’t find it....
This is a new UI i created for Jerboa, more for practice than for anything serious. What do you think?
It’s been a week or two now since the top-right menu buttons stopped working for me. I can use the one to select between “Local”, “Subscribed”, and “All”, but the buttons for the sort/time and the three-dots button don’t do anything anymore. Has anyone else been having this problem? (And if so, have you found a...
I used Joey for years for Reddit and it has an incredibly useful navigation feature that would allow you to use arrows to jump through every top level comment....
It looks like text wraps because it is too long, this ends up looking a bit off. Perhaps you can try scaling it down to fit the monitor width....
I made accounts on other instances but they don’t appear on Jerboa because they don’t have space in the sidebar.
This is just a concern I had with the client. Back during the good ol’ Reddit days, I get notified about a post/comment reply immediately when it happens. I have since left that website, and for some reason I don’t know why this isn’t a feature yet....
On a post with a YouTube link we can open in the default browser, or copy the link, then open NewPipe, search for the pasted link and then see the video....
Just updated to 0.0.38 (from 0.0.34 I think) and it is amazing. The addition of comment navigation buttons and the abbility to go back to home page by swiping right are just so pleasant. Thanks devs, with how great this app is developing I don’t think I would need to try the incoming reddit apps.
I joined a couple new instances and they won’t show up on my sidebar on the app. This may be because I am unable to delete an instance from which I was banned from the sidebar. How do I get rid of it?
Jerboa currently ignores single line breaks. I think single line breaks should be implemented as the only other alternative is double line breaks which are not always appropriate.
The app on android was fine for a while, but the past few days it keeps logging me out and then my account is no longer saved. If I enter my account info it appear to have me logged in for a refresh or two, but then I can’t get to my profile and then I show up as Anonymous again....
The Jerboa app crashes when I try to login from infosec.pub (V. 0.19.0). I hadn’t used the app for a while, so I can’t guarantee that this issue started with the server’s switch to 0.19.0.
Markup let’s you label a link which is really nice for readability but can also be used to trick people into opening a different site from what they are shown. For example the link below suggests it takes you to a Mastodon instance but if you blindly tap it it will take you somewhere else:...
My biggest gripe with *lemmy is the community search only brings up communities that have already been cached by the instance you’re on...
It’s unbelievable and just shows another advantage of open source software.
I don’t like using Chrome anymore, but any link I open goes to Chrome. Way more importantly, any YouTube video opens to the YouTube app, which is a huge problem imo. I end up not viewing 90% of the videos posted on lemmy, because I don’t want my YouTube feed to be screwed up....
