The page says it gets updated every 1-5 months and F-Droid says the last update was over a year ago. Is it still being developed?
The Hacker News and reddit.com/r/vim take on NeoVim is frequently that NeoVim has done tremendous harm to the overall Vim community and that the NeoVim developers aren’t respectful to Beam. Having been involved in both commubitues, I have never been able to track where that idea came from. Vim has accelerated in features...
Hey all. I’m looking for a bulk episode renaming application for Linux, preferably GUI. Before switching, I used Rename My TV Series 2 on Winblow. But I can’t seem to get it to work on my Pop_os 22.04. Any good alternatives would be appreciated. Thanks!...

For me its honestly a ton of my work software (digital forensics), shit is too niche to be replaced by good FOSS options. Cellebrite, Magnet Axiom, etc. Autopsy is great and free and has a linux version but it simply cannot get the same level of data without a pretty nutty level of custom code....
Is Haven still the only thing out there? It doesn’t seem to even be available any more from what I could find.
Let me start saying my first approach with Linux was around 2000, the first distro I installed successfully was Debian, then moved to more user-friendly distros (at the time) like Knoppix and Fedora, and ultimately to Ubuntu. In the 2000’s I used Linux mostly for fun, do homework, and browsing. I used Knoppy for like a year...

Over the years, my photo library has been managed by numerous apps (Picasso, iPhoto, gthumb, etc) and stored in multiple cloud and local drives. As a result I have a number of duplicates that I’d like to eliminate for easier organization. Is there a FOSS app that would assist with this task?
Does anyone have any recommendations for good backup software? My use case is pretty simple. I have an external usb drive I want to backup to every so often. Both the source and backup drives are 8TB capacity (I’m not even close to using the full capacity yet)...
Just looking for a simple app that can stream local rstp. I have been using VLC up to this point but im looking for something a little less glitchy. I’d also like the ability to view multiple streams at the same time....
A good friend of mine just asked me if we can have a watch party in the upcoming days over the internet, so we can watch a movie together. They live in another country....
Hello everyone! For a while i’ve been using Okular, but I feel like the UI is a bit crowded and it’s difficult to change the appearance of the book itself. Are there any minimalist/simple epub readers for Linux (perhaps something akin to Apple’s “Books” app?)
This is a very interesting article about the long-term sustainability of the Fediverse for moderators, administrators, and developers. We’ve already had two of our lovely Beehaw admins take breaks to take care of themselves as they experience the burnout associated with maintaining a community, and I think for a lot of use we...
I recently took the toe dip of installing Lubuntu (22.04.2 LTS Jammy Jellyfish) on my old laptop....
I don’t know if the API is available to third part devs make a client app.
Does anyone know of a self hosted media streaming service similar to Plex that will allow me to stream videos as audio only? Or better yet, to be able to sync/download them as audio only?...
