fediverse

Yet another simple introduction to the Fediverse ( alexsirac.com )

This was originally built to explain Meta's P92 to some people, and I slightly edited it to make it a bit more general. It starts with Twitter, then Mastodon, then the Fediverse as a whole in what I hope is an intuitive manner, and requires no "tech literacy" outside of knowing what Twitter and Facebook are like.

It's crypto! It's blockchain! It's decentralized! It's PaNQuaKE! ( panquake.com )

Does anyone know what this thing is? Some kind of decentralized, open source, anti-establishment, etc platform aiming to be an alternative to twitter, but we plebs aren’t allowed to see or participate in the development process or even see any source repositories yet....

The Newcomer's Guide to Mastodon, from a Crusty Old-Timer ( wedistribute.org )

This is a comprehensive guide that I wrote for people new to Mastodon, and people interested in trying it out. It’s more of a “field manual” than anything else, but it attempts to highlight some of the most important things new users should know about, while introducing them to the bigger concept of the Fediverse.
