Dagwood222,

There’s a book called ‘Discover What You’re Best At,’ by Linda Gail.

I can’t recommend it enough. Fir years I thought i hated working. Turns out that working a job you’re actually suited for is pretty great.

School is not a good place for smart people.

Duamerthrax,

Except that the school would sabotage the student by locking them into “remedial” classes.

I love how her parents are there supporting her in BOTH situations.

pixxelkick,

Comic mostly just demonstrates they have no idea what astrologists do.

If you think astrologists just spend all their time staring into telescopes, then you are mistaken. It’s largely doing a lot of math, running simulations, number crunching, reading papers, etc

Chickenstalker,

Uhhh astrologist look at your birthparents fuck date and then spew bullshit about the Age of Aquarius or some shit.

DragonTypeWyvern,

Hey, the ancient peoples did BOTH!

This is trolling manifest!

windie,

That’s one way to stare into space.

errer,

Astrologists spend most of their time staring up their own asses

mcmoor,

I think I understand what you mean, it’s super unfortunate people just care about some typo (?). This is why I don’t come to Lemmy for serious discussions anymore.

Sentau,

If it had happened only once it would have been a typo. Multiple times it’s either trolling or a non native speaker. Either way I get what you mean

can,

If they had a good point in the first place I think people would have been more lenient.

alex_schqual,

That was very tiny. Congrats! (Most of people here taking it too serious, lol)

A lot of people into math developed that interest due to an obsession with some other topic. Trying to grasp the fabric of the universe is a great motivator to getting people into physics.
