@duanetoops@bookstodon Murderbot is one of the single best series I've read in the last few years. I’m really looking forward to the next one coming out soon.

You will love the rest of the series, no lie. There isn’t a weak book in the series. I’ve read them multiple times. And check back in when you get to know ART 🙂
@duanetoops@bookstodon
Easily one of my favorite characters. The relationship between Murderbot and ART is gold (mild spoiler: ART is not just in the second book though they take a bit to show up again). So happy you are enjoying the books! I wish I could read them for the first time
@Katma@bookstodon I didn't think it was possible to live another character as much as murderbit, that ART though! The banter is magnificent! Non-human snark is priceless!

Feel free to keep me posted on your reactions as you go. I don’t want to spoil anything, but I love taking any of those books whenever. Love love them. Happy reading!
@duanetoops@bookstodon I recently picked up "All Systems Red" and am looking forward to diving into it soon. If only there were more hours in the day... and I didn't need sleep. 🙂
@duanetoops@bookstodon I read this book last year and loved it. It was such an enjoyable cozy scifi adventure! Murderbot's hilarious internal monologues concerning "her humans" were my favourite parts of the book. (I am not completely sure whether the pronoun "her" was used or not, however.)
@duanetoops@Narayoni@bookstodon Murderbot refers to itself as it. No gender because it's not a sexbot! I've read these stories more times than is probably healthy 😆😆 My favorite thing about Murderbot is its total apathy about everything except Sanctuary Moon and preventing others from harming its humans
@Jennifer@duanetoops@Narayoni@bookstodon Oooo yeah. The Murderbot Diaries are a lot of fun to read. There's an interesting bout of world-building in the background.
@jgoodleaf@Jennifer@Narayoni@bookstodon you're absolutely right! I love how subtle the world building is, how it's contextual, implied rather than explicit. It makes sense given that Murderbot would be operating the from perspective of the world as it is is just a given, something just understood.
@duanetoops@bookstodon that's one of my favorite series!! I really relate to Murderbot. Stop talking to me so I can consume my media 😆 A new book is coming out in November!
@Jennifer@bookstodon yes! Exactly! I have never felt so seen. 🤣 Only couple chapters into the second book, and it's warming my antisocial heart just as much as the first book!
