I’ve seen multiple requests for nsfw lemmy communities like reddit has. I live in Germany, and I think you are required to verify that the users that see porn content are above the age of 18. Does Lemmy has or plan to have a feature for that? Maybe this should be an issue on github?
I try searching keywords and nothing comes up. I’m using Jerboa for Lenny.
I wish I had anything to contribute to this topic but I’m sure there’s no shortage of experiences out there.
I’ll go first. I’ve used a lot of search engines, I used duckduckgo for quite some time but found their search results kinda bad. I’m currently using ecosia the search results are similar to ddg’s but at least I’m planting trees, so there’s that.
Dumb question but is there a way to add 2fa to my account or did I have to register with an email or something? I just created this account to test out so deleting it won’t be a massive chore if I have to remake it. Hope this is the right community to ask questions haha...
What an absolute shit show. Brace yourselves for a massive influx.
Hi, I’m learing python and I was thinking about createing Lemmy bot.
The way Lemmy works right now is you search a community in your instance for it to then get shown, so you need to first discover that community from elsewhere. With that in mind, what are some growing communities that you discovered that could get some more love?
Bandwidth is the issue, and server space. I wonder, can Lemmy servers be setup where say, someone runs an ass appreciation server. That server, when people post, sends the image to redgifs?...
Excuse my ignorance im just curious.
Sending this from work where I was looking at a coworker while talking and walked full-speed into the edge of a table...
Hi, all. I’m trying to subscribe to the Photography community on lemmy.ml from the server where I have an account. However, I keep getting a community not found error. I can subscribe to other communities on lemmy.ml just fine, and I’ve checked my spelling. The photography community also doesn’t appear in searches when I...
Im joining in on the reddit ditching thing, and was kinda worried at first that i wouldnt be able to like use it the way i did reddit as it feels like a whole new place, but after engaging with posts and people and actually being a part of lemmy rather than being lurk mode all the time i was pleasantly surprised with how easy it...
What opinion just makes you look like you aged 30 years
Just wondering why lemmy is on a .ml domain. (Which is Mali) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.ml
Personally i'm looking forward to seeing twobestfriendsplay, arkhamasylum, whowouldwin, and respectthreads, on here.
Say what you will about reddit, at least an established subreddit was the place to gather on the topic, ie r/technology etc....
The Lemmy Frontpage gets cluttered really fast. Is there any way to get a better overview? Maybe a compact view without pictures. Something ike old.reddit or Hackernews....
Is there a way to shop around for a Lemmy instance based on how many instances are blocking it and how many instances it’s blocking? For example, I noticed that the lemmygrad.ml instance is relatively popular, but it seems like a lot of other instances block it. It also blocks a bunch of other instances. So, if there are any...
Lemming greetings,...
I imagine there’s excitement for the increase of activity but worries about the potential toxic side of Reddit coming along too....
So to “correctly” open a community from another instance I’m instructed to “enter it into the search bar on your own instance”. Ok, I’m on Lemmy.ml, mobile browser in Firefox- where is the search bar? I can’t find it…
