I try to avoid deep-fried food, but… there’s a Salvadoran bakery a block from me, and they make the best empanadas I’ve ever had, so… “dos pollo y dos papa” (two chicken empanadas and two stuffed potato balls) and I make some Turkish coffee, is my favorite brunch. My cheat isn’t really an awful cheat- there’s a woman in my town who runs a small Asian supermarket, who also makes handmade sushi that is just incredible. Anytime I am in there I have to get some.
This isn’t necessarily a meal, but I always cheat with chips. It’s just something about the crunch that is so addicting to me. There are also chips that have way more flavor than any other snack. Doritos Flamas and Tostitos Flaming Hot are my favorites
Especially if you’ve got a preferred dipping sauce. I’m from Oklahoma, and over here we love ranch dressing. The combination of flavors you can get on and with a pizza is mouthwatering.
For me, there’s a Mexican restaurant down the road from my house that does what they call Super Fries, which are loaded with carne asada (a surprising amount for the price), cheese, sour cream, guacamole, refried beans, pico de gallo, and red and green salsa.
