It’s actually a very solid app. Haven’t had any issues with it. Obviously it’s missing some things, but the stuff already there is working.

I am wondering if you are going to streamline the signup process like they do on the official Mastodon app?

I've never used Apollo and I'm mostly using kbin. However I heard of wefwef like half and hour ago, decided to check it out cus why not and damn, it's so so good!

I was using the official Reddit app (or the desktop site) and in all honesty I didn't think it was too bad, probably because I just got used to it and didn't use any other app as a comparison, but after using wefwef for not even an hour, I can absolutely say I was missing out.

Which is the best part imo. I wonder if this can be ported into an IPA in the future, it's stellar but not on par with native app performance imo.

It’s so weird how eerily similar it is to Apollo haha, but I’m more than happy to use it. I’m using Memmy at the moment, first day using Lemmy!

I'm waiting for the option to block communities and people. then I will be able to happily use wefwef.

edit, I'm not against anybodeyor anything, but there are times that some entity gets spammy.

A workable option might be to get an external GPU enclosure and a full desktop GPU, and connect via FireWire , as well as upgrade to 64gb RAM in your current laptop (if the RAM isn't soldered in, ofc). This does kinda kill the portability, but it sounds like this is a workstation anyways, so might be fine.

Unsurpringly, it seems this functionality went away with the M-series chipset. So I guess we just wait for the $4500 Apple-silicon 2060ti-equivalent in a year or two.

I love it! The Lemmy web interface was acting a bit wonky at times, this is a great improvement.
