@ColesStreetPothole@allstartrek The American Civil War representation in the Q Continuum never worked for me. Even worse when the other Voyager crew members somehow show up.
@sezduck@allstartrek I think there is a certain logic to it—representing civil war in a way humans can understand. How humans are so easily able to use Q weapons though is a little weird. And, where did they get them? 🤔
Look, I grew up watching TV shows like Land of the Lost, or Lidsville. A little wrinkle like how did the spaceship actually get there isn't going to stop me from investing in a narrative. 😆
@StarkRG@sezduck@ColesStreetPothole@allstartrek That rather bothered me watching through DS9 season 7, too, with O’Brien & Bashir’s obsession with playing at defending the Alamo, which was primarily about defending the rights of slave owners. I’d have to hope these things would be portrayed better or avoided entirely if written now.
