I have tried to optimize my (autistic) view of the world with regard to the perception of time, so that valuable moments in the past do not subjectively diminish in value just because they have passed. Thought that would help me with my deceased mother. Or the dog.
But it doesn't work so well.
@janetlogan@theautisticcoach@actuallyautistic I'd say the same, but it has also taught me to look out for anyone else I see who is isolated / marginalised just because theyre different and make time for them if I can
I'm a firm believer in making space for marginalized people. I am a minority in many ways, except that I am white. I acknowledge that privilege, and try to use it to benefit others.
@theautisticcoach@actuallyautistic My tiredness, my inability to cope some days, or to live like I see others live isn't a matter of me not trying hard enough.

That masking can be seen as fawning and hence one of the four built-in stress responses.
