@JeremyMallin@actuallyautistic Dunno if I just misinterpreted the phrase but I always considered "read the room" in terms of a specific instance where the person is being made aware that they have said/done something totally at odds with the general vibe of the group, usually in a hurtful way even if not necessarily meaning it.
But as a general instruction, like "maintain an understanding of what's happening with the people around you"? Yeah, that's going to be hit or miss for me tbh. 🤷♀️
