Meepster, in People who frequent(ed) "support group" subreddits: what do you think about the future of those places?

That's why I am staying on Reddit for now. I haven't found an equivalent to the kind of support group that I am in, at least not yet. Someone has actually started one in the Fediverse, but it's empty, so not too terribly helpful as yet.

Maybe if the moderators leave and the group gets overrun with trolls, the users will go elsewhere.

It's a decentralized link aggregator in the design of Reddit with federation support for Lemmy & Mastodon content.
I use kbin because it's simply easier to use and more familiar for me as a Reddit user. Lemmy's layout is just confusing to me and I don't like the extremistic ideology of the admins.

If I remember correctly @ernest once described kbin as a "gateway for the fediverse" (but at the moment I don't have a source for that).
This would allow kbin to gather and integrate even more services from the fediverse - maybe

  • Zojirushi Bread machine (I use it for the dough cycle. Don't at me.)
  • Electronic scale. It can be a cheap OXO, but you need one.
  • Banneton and liners
    *Lame (honestly, my favorite is the cheapo Breadtopia one with the plastic handle--much better than the walnut-handled one my mom had)
  • More Emile Henry ceramic bakers than I'm willing to admit. Crown rolls, anyone?

I haven't ventured into sourdough but I'm teetering on the edge. Looking at the King Arthur crocks.
