Well, it may not be anatomically accurate, but I like how they symbolized the "virgin"-part by closing this thing shut

I think the pregnant belly bulge works, and putting legs in to make it more person accurate would also make it more vagina-accurate, and there’s only so much “THAT’S A VAGINA/PENIS!” you can get before people start complaining.

And unfortunately, there are a disturbing number of people who think a full covering is exactly how it works.

I didn’t expect to see this masterpiece around again, which was a pity because true Art shall not be forgotten. The artist is, of course, Italian and the statue is placed in Santa Teresa di Gallura, Sardinia.

Yes, and if they make the rope too long it’ll pop their heads off.

That was the ideal, but it was also possible to suffocate or cause the head to separate from the body altogether.
