Binthinkin,

No human is more vile than an EA executive.

parpol,

I would like to thank Unity for promoting the move to FOSS alternatives. FOSS makes the world a better place.

Stovetop,

What does EA have to do with it?

Unity CEO is the former EA President: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Riccitiello

Stovetop,

Sure, but emphasis on “former”, no? It’s not like we still blame Bill Gates for whatever Microsoft does…actually, maybe they do. I’ll see myself out.

No, actually former, but he’s the guy who said that if you were in a 6 hour battlefield game and your ammo runs out, you wouldn’t mind paying 1€ for a reload and that free game developers are idiots.

In a sense his… um… “success” with EA was important to his move to be hired by unity, so they enabled him and his tactics by employing him. There’s definitely some indirect blame there, plus the EA part of the image could symbolise a rejection of their scummy practices, not just the company themselves.

Apparently the guy was too evil for EA
