ValueSubtracted, to startrek in Esquire magazine profiles Wesley as Kirk.

A fun interview, accompanied by the weirdest photo spread I've seen in quite some time.

Vordus,

"Oh yeah, sorry, I got the only chair. Would you like to sit on this ladder?"

The dodge car product placement was really obnoxious, like REALLY obnoxious.

Especially this late into climate change, big gas guzzling sportscars are unethical to promote as cool fullstop.

CynicalStoic,

Also if you are trying to follow a secret government van, maybe you don’t do it in a bright red sports car

It’s Canada.

Red cars are patriotic. Or at least they aren’t the flag they are in the US.

Turning Point USA, the organization founded by Charlie Kirk, who first came to prominence as the face of the Moon in Georges Meliers' La Voyage Dans La Lune in 1902

This is Hilarious

e_t_,

Is the author suggesting Kirk's appearance would be improved by a bullet in the eye?

Shoot, it'd be cool to have a bit more info about this article without having to send traffic over to esquire.com

HandsHurtLoL,

I mean also, if this article were bacon I'm trying to buy, it's all gristle... Surely there's something more substantive to say about this speech out there in the politinews arena?

Those are rookie numbers. C'mon, GOP, pull yourselves up by your bootstraps and show us what you're really capable of!

One of my favorite movies. I also found it incredibly accurate, when I visited Japan.

No joke, I was out one night in Osaka and got a little drunk. On my walk back to my hotel, some woman popped out at me on a corner and asked, “You like massage?” in a very heavy accent.

LIP THEM? LIP THEM? WHAT?!

eestileib,

I stayed in the Ritz-Carlton in Akasaka and the hotel welcoming process was quite something. Door guy handed me off to a very cute hostess who politely stood next to me and handed me off to the desk clerk. The desk clerk then handed me off to another dude to show me my room.

I watched this film right after I graduated from university where I studied philosophy.

It was beautiful and timely.

Pure magic. One of my all time faves.

danielbln, to moviesandtv in 20 Years Ago, Millennials Found Themselves ‘Lost in Translation’

Love(d) this movie. People I watched it in the cinema with back in the day thought it was boring. I thought it was amazing.

This is one of those movies that I forget about for a few years and then fall in love again when I do rewatch it. Definitely one of my all time favourites.

CloverSi, to moviesandtv in 20 Years Ago, Millennials Found Themselves ‘Lost in Translation’

For some reason this movie never quite worked for me. It’s the exact sort of movie I usually love, and no doubt many of my favorite movies were inspired by it, but there’s something about the characters and interactions that makes it hard for me to connect. The mood of it is great though.
