I’ve been listening to the latest QAnonAnonymous episode and they covered the movie since Jim Caviezel is a huge QAnon nutter.
The opening scene of the movie is a couple of kids getting kidnapped by someone proclaiming to run a pageant show and I couldn’t help but recall how Trump ran Miss Teen USA and Miss Universe pageants and bragged about walking around the dressing rooms and seeing the contestants completely nude because he was the owner and there was nothing they could do to stop him.
Funny how QAnons don’t ever bring up that fact all the while they try to shoehorn human trafficking conspiracies into everything they talk about.
Trump ran Miss Teen USA and Miss Universe pageants and bragged about walking around the dressing rooms and seeing the contestants completely nude because he was the owner and there was nothing they could do to stop him.
The guy just can't get any worse the more I hear about him. Jesus.
He's the most unlikely hero for any movement, anywhere, ever. But we are where we are. Have you seen those Ben Garrison cartoons where Trump is drawn to have the physique of superman? It's all madness
Bought my ticket for Friday’s showing on Tuesday. Super excited. Tom may be nuts, but I think he’s proved he can repeatedly make damn good blockbuster movies.
Time for a year or two of the worlds worst reality shows you can imagine! Wonder if the studios are going to stick with the “wait until they’re homeless” plan if actors are now also out
Just reading that execs were debating on releasing that to Deadline and surprise, it backfired. They thought it would scare writers, but of course it just turned everyone against them.
As if I needed another reason to avoid redbox afterthey got rid of game rentals. Lol Hey kids, love tik tok on your phone? Well now you can watch tik tok on the red box outside of Turkey Hill!!!
I frequently see them in places where people of lower income shop. I guess because they can’t afford a setup for a streaming service or don’t know how to do it? I’m not sure. It seems like it would be more expensive.
Eh, I like it sometimes. Renting a movie digitally costs $5+, renting that same movie from Redbox costs ~$2 and I don’t need to give up my info to some online service. it’s a little annoying going there physically, but I also have the option of ripping it from the DVD and watching it later (legality may vary, YMMV).
So online rentals are more expensive and less privacy-friendly. That’s enough for me to favor Redbox.
I was going to make some comment about how long it would be to come out ahead since I would also have to buy a Blu-ray player, but turns out the cheapest ones are like $35, and probably even less used. So it would be like 12 movies for it to make sense.
I’d still rather just hit a button on my phone and have it play than have a separate player and have to go get discs.
