I have been quiet over the weekend. The reason? I was at the most lovely haiku festival in Belgium, the Festival van het Maankonijn (moon rabbit), where I was one of the ten nominees. No top3, but for me the prize was being there and seeing my five haiku as tanzuka in the hawthorn hedge.
Translation:
clouds are animals
learning to look again
with children's eyes

you admire the boat

@joel @poetry Thank you, that's interesting! I also sometimes have the puzzle feeling when I use certain poetry patterns. In German I've tried out different forms years ago and would like to continue with that. I feel that it's sometimes too difficult for me in English. I very much enjoy the English poetry around here, though. Have fun writing, Joel!
