My goodness I am tired. There's a certain kind of teacher-tired that kicks in mid-week, mid-November, mid-MockSeason. I don't know what the solution is - I wish I did. Any suggestions...? #Education#edutooter#teacher@edutooters
Hello, everyone!
It's time for a proper #introduction!
I'm Nefeli, a 2nd grade #teacher from Greece.
I'm mostly interested in #education and #edtech 👩🏫👩💻
In my spare time, I'm also building @elemedu, an #OER sharing platform for school #teachers!
I'd love to connect with #educators who share the same interests. @edutooters
A good tip is to prescribe & get updates if you want to read next part of this and to know what happens in #Swedish#education + #welfare sector
To rely on news media, tending to be both piecemeal & seldom independent, craves a lot of consumers these days…

I wan to make a request to #Science#Teachers: When you design labs please design some (most) without step-by-step instructions. The chances of your students needing pipette skills in 10 years is remote. What will serve most student better will be the ability to identify a problem, design and experiment that might explain that problem, setup and run that experiment, then interpret the results. Perhaps followed up by design a second experiment if the first didn't help.
Save the "follow the recipe" skills for home ec. The most important thing you can teach your student at any level is experimental design.
REALLY sick of hearing about how you have the experience to make value judgements about the experience of being diagnosed as a child.
I get that the diagnosis is a revelation.
And it is. I agree .
But i want to puke remembering how that "privilege" was used to justify telling kids "IF you manage to prove that you are able to emulate a person you can be awarded honorary adult status"
Otherwise you count as something between a child and an animal
@CatHat The closest I ever got to detection was my 5th grade #teacher. She warned my mom about #anxiety. No follow up.
My son’s #DX at age 5 has brought mixed results so far. At age 10 I finally feel like we’re on solid ground. But i thought we were good at age 8 too! I still fear we’re one well-wisher #ID10T “professional” away from a major setback. I will rejoice when he can shake off adult “support.” #ActuallyAutistic#AuDHD@actuallyautistic
I can beat that, a teacher told my whole class I would never make it as anything... But obedience does not equal intelligence, teachers only wish that it would 😂
