I’ve seen this several times in my career. Companies with enough mobile engineering that they form a “platform team” to build frameworks and tooling to be consumed by the product engineering teams.
These teams end up wedging their projects between the operating system and product engineering and provide their own abstractions around OS features. /1
@schwa what if the problem is not existance of a platform team, but actual human ego, over confidence in your own mental capacity, promotion driven development?
