What does Autistic Masking/Camoflaging mean to YOU?

Not what the definition is. Not what people on social media say. We say that all humans are different. Masking fits into that too.

Some of us can’t mask btw.

What is it to YOU?

Before I ever heard the term masking I used to say "it's like radio: I have to tune in the right frequency and it's not always easy"

hello comrades!
do you know of any resources for autistic people to study solfège? studying solfège was a nightmare since forever for me and I've always played by ear, but now that I'm partially deaf I'm having some real issues. maybe someone created a method right for us?

Do any of my #ActuallyAutistic comrades find any particular vitamins, herbs, foods, or the avoidance of them to be helpful with their self-regulation?

NOTE I am NOT speaking about quack autism “cures” peddled on the net. I am speaking about things which help with regulation.

@theautisticcoach @actuallyautistic I have some real issues sleeping but I found out I have to avoid valerian because it has a paradox effect on me :(

If any of my comrades used to read LOTS of books every year and LOVED it, but can no longer do it, know that it isn’t your fault.

This is one of the side effects of autistic burnout. You’re not alone.

Do my comrades see themselves fundamentally as happy people who are sometimes/often sad, or sad people who are sometimes/often happy?

@theautisticcoach @actuallyautistic @actuallyautistics I'm definitively a sad person who rarely is happy
