As much as I hate how much money I spend eating out on a regular basis, I can't deny that it really does help prevent meltdowns...

Everything went wrong with our grocery trip this evening, from overstimulation to the car not starting again. Meltdowns. And then to have to come home and have to cook after that... 😩

I'm starving but my nervous system is so out of whack that this food probably won't even feel satisfying.

@spika Going to the store over the past year has been a toss-up when it comes to overstimulation, be it from smells from the cleaning/laundry/meat section, to sounds of people banging or chucking stuff into their carts, or people simply not respecting personal space.

Noise cancelling headphones or ear buds can only do so much re: noise, even in ambient or transparent mode.

@MirrorAyako I love to eat the stuff, but the smell can now be triggers; especially, if they linger around and get on my clothes.

I really like mắm nêm and mắm cuốc chấm and will take those over nước nắm pha.
