My reading of Demetrius' and Chiron's execution scene from Shakespeare's "Titus Andronicus" in early 17th century pronunciation. I used a rather more innovative accent for Publius than for Titus.

People: "Stuff is so violent these days, we didn't use to have such gratuitous violence in entertainment"

be like "Orly?"

>shakespeare has nowhere near as much sex and violence as The Bible.

One of the pron sites had a channel that consisted of pericopes recast into scenes of 5 to 10 minutes. The chanel was banned due to breaking the site's rules on adult content.

BenYehudaPress, to bookstodon

Slightly late -

The Other Talmud - The Yerushalmi by Rabbi Judith Z. Abrams, PhD (Jewish Lights).

We enjoy reading books by our authors also from other presses, and this one was cool too!

We published two other books by Rabbi Abrams - we'll thread them below.

>The Other Talmud - The Yerushalmi Judith Z. Abrams

How comprehensible is that book, for somebody who neither reads Hebrew nor has read either Talmud in translation?

Thank you.

Last Chance for Hedon Press Audiobooks

One of the publishers I narrate for, Hedon Press, has run afoul of Amazon / Audible. I just learned that 11 audiobooks I narrated are being taken down. (Yes, it's rotten.) I'm in talks with Audible, more on that as I know more.

The audiobooks are for the moment still for sale through Apple Books. If you want them, get them FAST before they're gone for good.

>but "in violation" sounds ... did not have the rights to.

"for security purposes" is usually used for internal reasons.
Were the audiobooks pulled for copyright or related reasons, the usual wording would be "for legal reasons".
