Trying to figure out the #Fediverse Reddit-likes, and feeling like a newb. Should I be setting up a new account? are there apps? Would a #Lemmy app work with #Kbin? Is that even the right question?

@john You can browse Lemmy or kbin instances without logging in, but you need to create an account if you want to subscribe.

I think apps are coming or maybe are here. Lately I've been on my desktop browser a lot so I'm not sure.

Client apps generally use the frontend API of the server software, so it depends on whether or not Lemmy and kbin APIs will be compatible. For example, #Calckey apps are not compatible with #Mastodon and vice-versa.
