My Pi4B sadly didnt have the grunt to run F@H when I tried installing it in DietPi. Seemed to chug along fine but never actually got close to completing anything before the deadline.
Pretty sure Snap installs a daemon (the snap package is even called Snapd) which might be why you havent noticed it as a Ubuntu user (where Snapd is already installed)
As someone who uses a Mac for work, I simply prefer to let MacOS do its thing in case I make it angry. The file system might as well be magic the way its somehow identical and totally different to Linux/Unix
That’s because it doesn’t need to use the Ubuntu drivers. I’m pretty sure it’s intentional (if a bit less user friendly). I wish distros could come up with a universal(ish) driver app.
Considering this is the FOSS sub maybe the people suggesting Boost and Sync might want to suggest something else… It’s like people suggesting dairy cheddar for someone asking for a good lactose free cheese 🥲
But yeah, Jerboa is a popular client and one of the OGs as far as I know.
I personally enjoy Jerboa which is AGPL-3 and has a very sleek interface while being cross platform. Also felt a lot more complete than Jerboa did back when I tried it in July but im sure both are more similar nowadays
I use Plex but it seems that Jellyfin offers a wider range of hardware support for transcoding acceleration even with the plex pass (though if you’re using a quicksync device for your server it’s probably a nonissue)
