It’s not a very good game though, it certainly doesn’t feel like bg1 or 2. Feels more like a space blaster game. Don’t build any melee characters, 95% of combat is ranged (to take advantage of the verticality of course). Every encounter is clearly setup to give the opponents maximum advantage. Breaks immersion for me.
It’s just a re-skinned divinity os2. Plays exactly the same. Graphics aren’t much better either. It’s clearly setup to port to ios, and it shows in the graphics.
And the story is so stupid. You have a parasite that will turn you into a mind flayer in days. That’s established immediately after starting. But then hey, spend days or weeks fucking around doing side quests. Never mind what we said about the parasite.
The rolls are stupid, like a mini mobile game that takes you away from the story for a short period of time. The roll animation shows the die rolling like normal, then you can always see the number change at the last second. It never feels random. Way too many 1s and 20s.
The combat is tedious as fuck. The camera angle is always wonky. You can never get a decent view of the battlefield. If you zoom out more than 5 ft it translates to a completely overhead view that sucks.
And there’s no options for overwatch or reactions. Nah you take your shot now or not at all dumbass. What is this, x-com?
it’s nothing like the og bg. So sad the story and characters are woke and stupid. So sad how little it takes to placate you sheep. Baaahhhh bahhh.
Not what I recall from bg1 and 2. But the enemies in those games weren’t always positioned at difficult-to-access locations making it hard to use melee weapons. While using ranged weapons in bg1 and 2 might have made “management” easier for you, you’re at a major disadvantage with melee weapons in bg3 because nearly all enemies will use ranged attacks and they do their best to keep moving away from you. It’s not fun.
