If Demerzel killed Dawn in Season One and killed all three in Season Two then it stands to reason she'll kill 9 Dawn/Day/Dusks in Season Three. By Season Six she'll be killing 243. The entire series will just become a never-ending flow of killing Day/Dawn/Dusks only to decant and kill them again!

It’s still pretty derivative, in an open way, with nods to everything from Terminator, Blade Runner and District 9, to Apocalypse Now, among others, the connecting themes being the confrontation between humankind and technology, American militarism, fear of the other. Usefully, all of this chimes with the current, fiery and fearmongering debate about the advance of artificial intelligence.
Everything you can say about The Creator's 'lack of originality' you can say about Edwards' 'Godzilla' and 'La La Land.' Those other films are scored at 76% and 91%, respectively. Additionally, Godzilla - that tired old reboot of the same movie we've re-watched for the past fifty years - made $524,976,069 worldwide. La La Land - that stale celebration of Hollywood musicals - $151,058,124 at the domestic box office.
Shame on Gareth Edwards for making accessible science fiction for a worldwide audience - wasn't he thinking about the poor, angry nerds who want 'original scifi' despite the fact that they refuse to articulate what 'original' means and they refuse to create their own 'original' scifi and subject it to the same hostile market they make up?
I'm being sarcastic for a reason - The Creator is AMAZING scifi. It doesn't matter if TheArtsDesk.com dunks on it - If I'm still carrying a 2012 award on the banner of my website, the LAST thing I'd be doing is casting aspersions on anyone with the guts and the grit to go out there and actually try to do something that celebrates everything we love about the science fiction genre. I'm not a marketing guy for Gareth Edwards, but credit where credit is due - we need to support original, imperfect scifi if we want to see more of it.
Deride The Creator at your own peril - lest you be damned to another 10 years of MCU and Fast and the Furious movies.
I finally watched the screener someone gave me - The Creator is brilliant at not being brilliant. It's a crowd-pleaser, the coolest cyberpunkiest ride I've taken in a while. Every scifi nerd who ever said "why isn't there any original scifi?" needs to get out and support this movie now. There may never be another chance to see something this new again.
No, the problem is that you're a person who posted 34 diff. items to K.Bin and two bug reports and you think that qualifies you to comment on K.Bin overall. Not for nothing - what qualifies me to speak on this topic is that I've been posting stuff every day to /m/scifi (with time out for vacations and illness). I know there are things wrong with scifi and K.Bin - but I'm putting the time in to make things better. What are you doing? You moderate /m/men and your stated goal is "This magazine is dedicated to discussions of issues that men and boys face, especially disadvantages or discrimination due to their gender, from an egalitarian perspective." People want stuff to read, not people to point at 'the problem.' K.bin is fine for what it is - if you want 'more hands on deck', go be one of those hands.
I'mma go out on a limb and admit that I posted this article knowing that I disagreed with the premise. JJ Abrams is incredibly talented - he proved that with Cloverfield and Super 8. Additionally, he took Star Trek into a new direction despite its challenges and he remains scandal free unlike some other scifi directors (looking at you Bryan Singer). So you can be angry about TFA or Fringe if you want, but the guy does quality work in an industry full of bad actors. Credit where credit is due.
