@LVLMLeah@herhandsmyhands@romancelandia I completely gave up on writing Amazon reviews. And I don’t read them either. So many are completely unbelievable or sound like they were turked. I get the value in them for authors & experienced that as the author myself, but writing or reading them is frustrating. (Other places, even Goodreads, yes.)
@ElleSabine@herhandsmyhands@romancelandia I also rarely read oe post book reviews on Amz. I will on GR. I currently only post reviews there. So far no issue with them.
@romancelandia
It'll soon be six months since @Limecello had surgery; today, she's still recovering, unemployed, and facing medical debt. Can we help her reach her goal? (just over $4K to go)
She's provided a paypal link in her post, if you'd rather not use GFM (if you do, remember GFM charges fees, so don't tip them)
Please donate, no amount is too small, and boost this post, whether you can donate $ or not.
@herhandsmyhands@romancelandia I read a bunch of vague complaints that should mostly be leveraged at congress (which is dysfunctional almost entirely due to republicans), that usually had unacknowledged attempts to implement.
Even though the blog itself is not genre-romance-focused, I think this blog post works well with how we discuss romance--from what we refer to as "old skool" (the rapey alphaholes of the 80s) to the "all genre romance is feminist" of the early 2000s to the current discussions of what exactly is a HEA and what constitutes a romance.
So, back to genre reading: this is a most excellent twitter thread on #GothicRomance with really amazing covers and excellent analysis. Beware: sadly, the covers have no alt-text.
Found this virtual panel at 2022 #LasVegasBookFestival via @tuphlos; very enjoyable, but especially caught on what @OliviaWrites has to say about her Spoiler Alert, and how she had so much to say in the book she thought would be "her one and only chance" to be in bookstores around the world.
Can we help @Limecello reach her GFM goal? (remember: don't tip, they charge fees) Or you can use the paypal link Lime provided in the GFM description.
Whether you can donate or not, please boost to increase reach.

@herhandsmyhands@romancelandia I saw Miss Bates Reads review of this a few weeks ago and was going to buy based on that, but then saw there are prior books. I bought the 1st one to start but haven't gotten to it yet. I need to get in that based on your review as well, of the series.
