I can say with some confidence at this point, that notifying me by messenger pigeon is more reliable than trying to send me an important message through email.

@euphoricaster @pixelcats Ooh, I remember one of those actually from within another fandom.

Most of us were/are chill, but when Idol came out, apparently some needed to be reminded that nobody can "copy" the concept of wearing hanboks... it's traditional clothing.

I didn't run into it myself, but then again I wasn't active in kpop twitter. I do know someone who did though.

Imagine having the gall to be like: Nope. Sorry, entire country. Our faves own your traditional attire now.

@euphoricaster @pixelcats in this (and other contexts, really) there’s a misplaced sense of loyalty in denying the relevance of anything outside one’s faves. Which is funny when you consider that there’s no way that our faves only consume their own work.

Artists wouldn’t be artists without a preexisting interest in art.

But yeah, it’s exactly like you said. Unfortunately some refuse to see that.

There are (at least) two interpretations of this song, one being the literal. That this the song of an alien hero. The other interpretation I’ve seen being that the mother tells her this in order for her grow up with a sense of confidence and determination.
