The phacelia field near us is going to seed, but it was under planted with crimson clover and that is now flowering. A species similar to bush vetch is also climbing through the thick growth. I’ve seldom seen so many bees in one place - they’re loving it! 🐝

I saw a flitting fragment of sky.

When it landed on a creeping thistle, it turned out to be a male common blue butterfly.
