Did you dry it

deFrisselle,
@deFrisselle@lemmy.sdf.org avatar

That doesn’t mean it was dry from the factory I’ve had spools this year from Polymaker that were fine for the first third then had issues symptomatic of wet filament

Never heard of that one but old printers, if in good condition, work just fine They might not understand some of the newer gcode commands but that’s only a few Nero3D streamed a three-part series where he assembled and use an original Ultimaker from 2013 Barnacules Nerdgasm used a similar Ultimaker to print parts for a Voron 2.4 build Still very capable printers

MS will buy it all at the fire sale for cheap then integrate it deeply into Bing, Windows, etc

Incorrect testing They didn’t use the GPU board the block was designed for as they apparently didn’t have one available from their inventory Linus found out about that at the start of filming the video review then decided to go full steam ahead anyway Gotta get that video out Didn’t even mention or reference the included manual and other documentation Concluded it was a crap product, a prototype installed on the improper GPU, in the video and also on the WANshow That had to have caused untold damage to the company in revenue and reputation

Anthony was a vastly underutilized resource for them Such a waste

Disappointed in the views of the devs Still, It’s a good project and a great addition to the Fediverse I can only imagine the amount of contact and criticisms they have gotten since the Reddit meltdown Hope they think about growing the dev team beyond themselves to help elevate some of the stress from the attention the project is now getting

Need to work on your reading comprehension and stop reading in your personal views

It's time to take advantage of Reddit's decline

It’s no secret that Lemmy is shaping up to be a viable alternative to Reddit. The issue it faces however is that it’s still relatively niche and not many people know about it. I propose that we change this. By contacting the mods of large subreddits and asking them to make and promote relevant Lemmy communities we could...

Well, then create some topics and communities

The screen is broken and dying The black spots will just get bigger It needs a new screen Try returning it Then get on Swappa

Kijiji might be an option to look at then

Petty person doing petty things Just go forth and create communities across the instances SDF is pretty nice and has recently spun up a hand full of regional Lemmy instances

deFrisselle,
@deFrisselle@lemmy.sdf.org avatar

My Mastodon account is on mastodon.sdf.org When the whole Reddit-o-pocalypse went down SDF spun up a Lemmy instance a few days later I asked to join They now have a handful of Lemmy instances regionally

Octoprint if you can get an Rpi Stock is improving and it’s a great addon It’s also nice to be able to send prints right from the slicer

deFrisselle,
@deFrisselle@lemmy.sdf.org avatar

That’s a good option I’ve seen quite a few using the LePotato for Octoprint and Klipper I’m just glad I got a few Rpi before they dried up

deFrisselle,
@deFrisselle@lemmy.sdf.org avatar

Forgot to mention that I all so added LED lights on the top of the upright and printhead

I hope someone works on this It would be a nice project to add to the Fediverse I looked around last year and only found some promising projects that were all dead Currently, I’m looking at Thirty Bees ( docs.thirtybees.com )

So was the Rosetta project on BOINC Along with finding and advancing treatments It was all posted as a notification by the project through the BOINC client That one of the great things I like about the network is getting notifications and news from the projects I contribute too

How much of your life have you degoogled? (beehaw.org)

We're reaching the end of an era wherein billions of dollars of investor money was shovelled into tech startups to build large user-bases, and now those companies (now monoliths) are beginning to constrict their user-bases and squeeze for every single penny they can possibly extract. Fair or not....

Had to give them some money for a Pixel 7, at least it was half off plus a trade-in on the old phone Installed GrapheneOS a couple of days ago

OceanGate CEO Bragged About Using Expired Carbon Fiber to Build Doomed Sub (futurism.com)

New evidence strongly suggests that OceanGate’s submersible, which imploded and killed all passengers on its way to the Titanic wreck, was unfit for the journey. The CEO, Stockton Rush, bought discounted carbon fiber past its shelf life from Boeing, which experts say is a terrible choice for a deep-sea vessel. This likely...

It could have been fresh from the factory and would have had the same result It was an improper application of the material to save on the more expensive titanium Same with the acrylic viewport, while not the best material it’s the design that was non-standard Quartz would have been better but more expensive Not the time to cheap out on materials, design, nor experience when lives are on the line

If Meta is interested in joining an open platform based on open-source API standards then why not open meetings Does anyone wonder if Rochko would sell the Mastodon Foundation to Meta

Do you have a photo of your damaged part Also, how are you restarting prints Mine just fails to pull the filament in after restarting from pause

That's interesting It's like it's not sitting in the right spot , just over a bit or the upper tensioning is over a bit
