Evolutionary fire ecology: an historical account & future directions https://academic.oup.com/bioscience/advance-article/doi/10.1093/biosci/biad059/7238546

We may have missed some women & non-English speakers; their invisibility is a long-standing problem. If so, we would appreciate feedback on such omissions

Hello Juli at least you have forgot Georges Kuhnholtz – Lordat, who wrote "La Terre incendiée" in 1938, some years ago i wrote a little blogpost in my paysages blog about him (in French), "https://cneffpaysages.blog/2010/06/27/georges-kuhnholtz-lordat-sur-wikipediafr/ and perhaps also André Aubréville Climats, forêts et désertification de l'Afrique tropicale written in 1949

and of course Louis Trabaud, who wrote his thesis"mpact biologique et écologique des feux de végétation sur l'organisation, la structure et l'évolution de la végétation des zones de garrigues du Bas-Languedoc" about wildfire and Cistus monspeliensis/Quercus ilex adaption to fire, - and of course you know him, see https://jgpausas.blogs.uv.es/2017/06/

why were these scientists, doing such groundbreaking work for fire ecology, not mentioned in this review article ? because the articles/works were written in French, - or because they are not available in "standard literature databases" ? Or other "causes" ?
