friendica & hubzilla are similar. From there, you can follow diaspora accounts as well as the fediverse stuff : mastodon, lemmy, peertube, …

lite-xl looks promising

hints :

  • inflation increases the nominal amount of tax on added value, good for countries balance sheets
  • inflation decreases the real value of sovereign debts
  • a company will never lower its prices as long as sales do not plunge
  • energy actors only look at natural gas prices when it raises, never when it comes down

you could add your own items to the list, it’s a long one.

Suggestions for lightweight browsers for Ubuntu?

I have an old laptop which didn’t exactly have top of the line specs when I bought it back in 2016. It does, however, run Ubuntu pretty competently (yes I know there are better distros, no I am not going to use them). It was cheap. As in it came with a Celeron in 2016 cheap, so it isn’t the speediest little guy....

qutebrowser if you don’t mind vim-like keybinding.

So far, I’ve encountered no problem adding masto accounts in akkoma. That said, I don’t use it much.

Best way to have file sync on a local network?

So I have a NUC with Proxmox as the primary OS and OPNsense in a VM for my home network. I've been trying to move away from Google services but would still like to use them as a back up solution. Would it make sense to use Nextcloud in a VM as a replacement and use Rclone to encrypt and backup my files to Google Drive? Or should...
