Huh. It just occurred to me that not everyone reads all the time. Like, there’s a bunch of people without books they’re reading right now. That concept is so bizarre to me. I’ve always got several books going. Ebooks, audiobooks and physical copies of books. If you don’t read anymore, when and why did you stop? No judgement. @stux Meh. I saw the more expensive jigsaw today for the same price as the less expensive one I bought a week or two ago. Not a fake sale.

I’m still okay, simply because the more expensive one is heavy and the less expensive one is light, so I want the less expensive one.

(The main advantage of the more expensive one is its motor is brushless so it uses less battery power and so runs longer. But I do very, very little sawing. VERY, VERY, VERY LITTLE.)

@stux Here’s a trick with certain items. It may depend on where you are. In the U.S., for instance, the price of a new Japanese fountain pen can be quite high. It will come with all sorts of accessories and warrantees and the choice of model may be limited. You can often pay MUCH less by ordering it from a reputable ‘gift shop’ type of vendor in Japan, though you will likely get just the pen wrapped in cellophane, or in a plain gift box.

(There will also be disreputable vendors. Be careful.)

I've never practiced in New York, but I think it's safe to say this is a slam dunk in the Loser Department.

Complaint #1: The court, in newsletters, linked to articles that the Trumps think are unflattering to them. (I have no idea what this is about. It's pages 3-4)

Then we get into their beef about the law clerk.

Today I discovered that on my Subaru the driving lights and the high beam lights are the same lights, just at different voltages.

Which explains why someone flashed their highbeams at me in the daytime after I replaced them with LEDs.

Also, all those knock-off Amazon headlight vendors who say, “Compatible with 2015 Subaru Forester” can go jump in a lake. I did, once I figured this out, go back and find one vendor who said that theirs would only have the brightness of the driving light. The comments were, of course, complaining it was too dim.

Fortunately I kept the originals.

P.S. If you think that replacing your old car bulbs with LEDs will save you power, I have bad news. I mean, I love the fact that my brake and turning signals are extremely visible in daylight, fog, snow, and rain. And my low beams are awesomely better. But it turns out cars now detect burnt-out bulbs, and they do this by monitoring the resistance, and LED bulbs have so little that your car thinks the bulbs are burnt-out. So when you buy replacement LED bulbs, they come with a separate box that has a resistor on it so they still use the expected power.

Someone asked me what I think is going on with Trump's lawyers attacking the clerk.

Yesterday I said this:

"It's hard to tell what is going on with that. My best guess is that Trump's lawyers are fatigued, know they are losing, and are getting weird and paranoid."

Judge Engoron, who sees it all up close, said there is misogyny.

I just saw a picture of the clerk and I have revised my opinion.

The judge may be right . . .
