I hope that charging for basic stuff never comes. I doubt it since like the first thing MSFT did after buying it was to make some pro stuff free (like private repos)
I’d bet that you’ve got a 10/100 adapter and not a 10/100/1000 adapter. Manufacturer saves a buck but they’re not very useful anymore. Try it in a laptop and see what you get
There’s a guy that throws his trash out the window on TikTok. If it makes it in the can it’s a good week and if he misses it’s a bad week. Calls it the garboscope. My point here is that you can at least skip the stairs
I had high hopes for Empyrion but it blossomed like I had hoped it would. Bought it around 2016 and it still looks basically the same. AI still walks around like they shit their pants and guns feel like I’m shooting with a slide whistle.
I just moved my registrar from namecheap to cloudflare since they started supporting .dev domains and it’s infinitely better. Was already using them for the dns challenges cuz I’m not paying for SSL certs.
Realistically the partition size is going to be 4GB and you’re going to have whatever is left assigned to user data. You’ll never be able to write user data to that 4GB (without resizing and moving the partition at least), so for all intents and purposes 4GB is being used for the system, even if not actively in use. I believe that on a/b systems the partition actually is double the size, as it’s got the new update (or old update) next to the running system.
Honestly I don’t really have a problem with this. I’m my experience, my actual system will be 3.7GB, but could easily be taken up by an update. I’ve also had issues with smaller partitions not being able to flash modifications to them.
4GB specifically for a raspberry pi build, and I believe I had to resize my 2xl to flash gapps on a rom
Because they’re not earning those millions from users. I have no data to back this up, but I’m sure even the Linux users that do play are less likely to spend money on the game.
Unpopular opinion but I much prefer having polished hardware like on my Pixel 7 pro and have to melt glue to repair it, all while being able to update the software after eol (lineage, pixel experience, graphene, etc) than to have an already last gen phone that’ll only last for a few years more officially.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m absolutely behind For, but I can’t even get one in the United States. Framework on the other hand has latest gen components in a repairable form factor. I’m just waiting on a 2-in-1 from them.
Cinnamon has been doing a great job for me. On ubuntu 22.10+ you can use sudo apt-get install ubuntucinnamon* and it’ll install a themed version (but lightdm3 shows Ubuntu 22.04 for some reason)
