I loved the theme song for this when it came out.

WashedOver, to canada in Why health officials aren't calling new COVID-19 vaccines boosters anymore
@WashedOver@lemmy.ca avatar

These nuts lost me when they shared a video by a “medical expert” the government wanted silenced that explained that on top of the microchips in the vaccines, there was Aids, Cancer, ground up baby fetuses, and Alzheimer’s in the vaccines that would kill the majority with in 6 months. I often joke that because of the Alzheimer’s I must have forgotten to die after the 6 months a few times now.

I’m with Bill Burr. Why would a government about control want to kill the 87 percent of those that took first vaccine? They are the compliant ones, why would they want to be left with the ones that aren’t compliant and harder to deal with?

In my books, with the billions dead from the vaccine who was going to not only deal with the bodies everywhere, who would be left to serve the ruling classes and billionaires that are controlling everything that want everyone dead from the vaccines?

Anyways their nonsense lost me at the ok get go.

To be honest I’ve been a little confused on the various posts just being links back to Reddit. Not sure what the benefit is for the poster?

The “Smart devices” on my Blu Ray player had me give up on sitting down to directly watch a DVD. My stupid player constantly needed to update or download the latest commercials before it could play anything. It drove me to throwing it out and getting a PC hooked up to my TV which was great for years there. I then went with Smart TVs and a FireCube but I’m back to wanting to connect a PC to my TV again.

I was becoming frustrated with how slow my Vizio “Smart TV” had become. I went with a FireCube that was on sale. It was overkill but I don’t want to deal with it slowing down again for awhile.

I’m looking at getting back into a PC hooked up to my TV with the fragmentation of the streaming services. It’s becoming as bad as cable again.

I recall renting a Grand cherokee in 2016 and being disappointed to find it was like driving a caravan in a lot of ways. Nothing like the older Grand and regular Cherokees I use to own.

The “new” Cherokee seems to be like a slightly larger Patriot clone. It’s like the movie industry creating new movies with old names. The new stuff is usually not as good or completely different.

Years ago when I worked for a dealer one of the salesman pointed out it’s the “F series” which includes everything with the F all the way up to delivery / commercial trucks. Nothing is going to touch the volume of all of those different categories of sales combined.

Still suspect the F150 numbers are pretty good.

Seems like they have come along way since the grousing about the laws in the 80s coming into effect to ban a hard working person from enjoying a couple on the way home from work…

youtube.com/shorts/BVk-_xhccK4?si=aMU_vedYJAYnKg0…

Mix this in with the freeway speed limits are 80MPH on the highway in. Texas and often 65 for work zones on the smaller 2 lane highways. One can’t even go that fast on the I5 in Oregon with the Max being only 60 mph without construction delays. Can’t imagine adding a couple of drinks into the mix on the way home from a 12 hour day…

Certainly a argument can be made for this. For me it is the extended family and contacts from hobbies /sports. Without FB they would have completely faded out of my life. This low level method maintains a loose family connections once maintained by the senior family members that have long since passed. As for the others yes completely disappear from your life…

Same here. I wish Disa messenger app was maintained as it was my one stop shop for a few messenger apps.

I’ve found the same thing with the IG and FB apps which is why I don’t use them. I stick to the mobile web versions but they have made it difficult to message from the android mobile web without extra steps like desktop mode. Even then there can be missing functionality.

There was also an article earlier this year where they were purposely “testing” the apps that forcibly drained some user batteries quickly without a care for the actual users affected. Since I’m often using my phone for navigation in the woods I want as much battery life as possible please.

Anyways if it wasn’t for older friends and family members I would no longer be using FB.

There appears to be a good example of Spain in the 30s before the civil war. Both sides saw each other as the devil incarnated. There was no talking with each other,no middle ground. Bloodshed was the only way they were going to sort it out in the end.

Well that’s a time the science was wrong bro and since it’s changed I don’t believe in the science now. I do my own research and come up to my own conclusions even though I spent most of high school in the smoker’s pit ditching class. /s
