A through line interest with most of the rotationals being satellites/tangential to the main interest

Eg.
Through lines: low tech crafting, & my paganism
Satellites: blacksmithing, rock slings, philosophy, geological studies, animistic beliefs+spirituality, 'primitive' textiles, scientific studies of how plants communicate with each other, ecology studies, indigenous beliefs+ traditions, etc, etc

I've once layed out nearly everything on a whiteboard to illustrate to a friend how all my "really random interest" were actually very interconnected

It's like looking at an analog clock, seeing the hour hand, the minuet hand, the second hand, all the gears and springs that make the movement, topped off with being unable to block out the sounds of non-helical gears meshing.

And the allistics get upset with you for answer with hour:min:sec if they ask the time because they only see an hour hand, and answering with anything other than just 'hour' is wrong, or other times they didn't actually want you to answer what the time is, and it's your fault for not intrinsically know what they really wanted when they asked.

On #NationalUnderwearDay I want to talk about the ancestor of the bra: the strophion!

In #GreekRomanArt the goddess #Aphrodite can sometimes be seen putting it on or taking it off but mortal women are depicted wearing it too.

It is uncertain what the Greek strophion looked like but the Roman adaptation, the strophium, was a breast band, a strip of cloth wrapped around the upper torso.

It was a normal but optional piece of feminine clothing.

That's the problem though, Google used to poll obscure sources.

Now it tills fields of generic hits, usually advert biased

I should have gotten at least one hit from a recreationist, either larp or someone that does historical textiles
