I got an entirely new gaming rig up and running (Ryzen 7 7800X3D / Radeon RX 6700) so I thought I’d grab a couple more recent games to push it a bit, as I had a potato before. Been having a lot of fun with Forza Horizon 5 and the World Tour mode of Street Fighter 6. Thinking about maining Juri in SF6, she’s fun to play.
In 99% of cases, you would be correct. However, these are Neo-Nazis we’re talking about here. Like, if they got their way, I’d be dead, so so would a lot of other innocent people. Their ideology has caused unspeakable horrors, and it’ll happen again if we let our guard down. There has to be a social cost to being a Nazi. Like, this shit is getting way too close to the right wing mainstream. This isn’t a matter of just “people we don’t like”. They’re dangerous. Name them. Shame them. Ruin their lives. Force their evil ideology back into the deep, dark fringes where it belongs.
Look, we all know that Hexbear is questionable. There’s a reason we defederated from them. But let’s not go around throwing terms like “fascism” around like they don’t mean anything. We all know Hexbear is full of Marxist-Leninist trolls. We know.
This entire comment is fundamentally not nice. Even disregarding the first part, the fact that you go to this much trouble to express your revulsion of furries is rather mean spirited. Like, I’m not a furry, but imagine being one and reading what you just wrote. There is no reason why you couldn’t have kept that to yourself. Try to be a bit more understanding, yeah?
It’s alright, just basically Twitter 2. It’s useful for some things. A lot of creatives chose to migrate there, which is nice so that I can network with fellow Twitch streamers and keep up with news on the platform. As much as I like Mastodon, I just wasn’t getting that there. It’s also nice that a bunch of artists I used to follow are there.
Yeah, I think I’ll pass. The Raspberry Pi people hired a former police officer who used their stuff in hidden surveillance. Then when people called them out on it on Twitter, Pi blocked those who did. petapixel.com/…/raspberry-pi-under-fire-by-creato…
I’ve been using it for years, first out of disdain for Internet Explorer, now out of disdain for Google Chrome. I just do not trust the corpos at all, and Firefox has always been solid(outside of a few years in the '10s).
The Lemmy dev AMA really shook my faith in the future of lemmy itself. That being said, I’ll support and stand behind you, regardless of what you decide. If we make a new platform, I’ll follow, if we choose to stand our ground and make the best of it, I’ll help do my part. I believe in Beehaw and I’m proud to be part of the community.
Honestly, that article is pretty lousy. It just boils down to “I oppose gay marriage because I don’t like the concept of marriage”. Just seems like veiled homophobia to specifically call out opposition to gay marriage when they could have just written “I oppose the concept of marriage, and this is why”.
