I’m going from Hong Kong to Iceland next month. I’ve read that everything there, including food, are quite expensive. So my wife and I have been researching on how to prepare meal or snack that we can eat during the day instead of going to restaurant....
Pasta salad is one of my go-to lunches on the go. Fusili pasta mixed with any and all vegetables you prefer. For protein I’ll add boiled eggs, beans and/or fried chicken strips. Easy to make, nutritious and good to eat cold/room temperature.
I can imagine people having fun getting lost in the flow of playing a competitive sport. I’ve also heard some people experience a post-workout high. But does anyone actually feel pleasure in the moment while lifting weights, jogging, cycling, etc?...
It takes some time to build a routine, getting to that point requires effort. Once you’re comfortable and know your limits I personally get a lot of satisfaction from pushing my body to get faster, stronger, more agile and so on. You might feel exhausted but you know you can keep going and your body will respond.
Together with all other health benefits you get from it makes you feel good about yourself after a workout which translates to better confidence, mood and more.
I don't think anyone here expected reddit to just fall over and die from the protests, nor is it a competition.
Lemmy will probably never reach the heights reddit have done but it's a growing community with great potential and I for one am really enjoying being part of it.
During travel, what can I prepare beforehand as meal, which can be eaten without access to fire or microwave?
